  • Ebay is estimated to have more turnover than any other trading company. It is widely used for people to buy foreign goods such as tea and coffee directly from the growers. Most national post office services have agreed a similar reduced tariff model to the UK.
  • Stoke Gabriel Tanners finally opens the new tannery (using digestate from the anaerobic digesters and local hides) with strict planning conditions. The leather will be used locally at the expanded Conkers Shoe and Leather works. Two new cobblers and leather repairs shops have opened in Diptford and Cornworthy.
  • Most people now work just four days for paid work, using the additional time for food growing, community activity and supports and family time. This has released a lot more jobs to be shared around.
