  • The art of storytelling is reviving interest in old books and many more are collector’s items on the internet
  • Bookbinding has become a popular pastime and many people have been mending their old books
  • Day trips on the train and picnics have revived in popularity with villages and towns within the UK forming local twinning partners and paying each other visits
  • Public transit and ‘chatting on the bus’ has, by this stage, replaced individual car culture.

  • Communal public spaces in every town and village are being given special priority by local authorities and LA workers are being made available for community groups to create pleasant open public spaces with plenty of edible plants and natural local building materials
  • Local artists are being engaged by service providers to design and create attractive and individual street furniture, railings, sub-power stations, buses, turbines etc., resulting in a blossoming of imaginative shapes, styles and colour in neighbourhoods
