Over 1,000 young people in Devon vote for their representatives on the UK Youth Parliament. Using LocalEyes website they come up with a list of their key priorities they want their new representatives to bring to meetings. Top priorities include more play spaces, skateboard areas and safe cycle lanes.
Struggling up Fore Street on his refurbished bike, 10 year old Brian Walters tells his parents, that his is the “coolest bike in town” although it is a bit big for him.

KEVICCS uses part of the citizenship education study time as part of students’ 50 hours community programme. Some students opt to work in the school garden, others helping elders to do some shopping.
